1995: PhD in Animal Science.
1998: researcher – Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Padua.
2001: assistant professor at the Veterinary Medicine Faculty of the University of Padua until 2008, then at the Faculty of Agriculture at the University of Padua.
2020: National Academic Qualification as associate professor.
Teaching: poultry and rabbit farming, aquaculture, fish and egg quality, wildlife management.
Supervisor of more than 20 thesis.
Academic member of the doctoral school of Animal Science at the University of Padua from 2007 until 2017.
The scientific activity is proved by over 100 publications in scientific journals and national and international congresses.
Main research topics:
Rabbit - effect of genotype, sex and environment (temperature, diet, light) on slaughtering performance and meat quality, and plasma and hormonal profile;
Poultry (chicken, turkey, guineafowl, duck, especially chicken) - effect of genotype, sex, diet on productive performance and meat quality; organic production (chicken) and meat and egg quality; biodiversity (chicken, guineafowl, duck, turkey) and meat and egg quality;
Wild fauna – alien invasive species: presence of Procambarus clarkii and Silvylagus floridanus and Sciurus carolinensis in the Veneto region; phenotypes of Phasianus colchicus in the Veneto region.
